Building Structural Core Strength and Enhancing Chiropractic Adjustments

Before stretching make sure your muscles have an adequate blood flow by warming up.  Jumping jacks, jumping rope, a brisk walk or jog should get your blood flowing.


The Stretching (hold 5 -10 seconds)

Iliotibial stretch and  

Psoas stretch

Cat-camel stretch

Piriformis stretch

Cobra stretch

Side bend stretch

The Strengthening

One leg lifts – hold 1-2 seconds, 10 reps each leg

Arm-leg opposition lifts – hold 1-2 seconds, 10 reps each side

Superwoman/Superman - hold 1-2 seconds , 10 reps

Bird dogs- hold 20-30 seconds

Bridging – hold 20-30 seconds

Wall sits – hold 20-30 seconds

Lower back Extensions - 5-10 reps
